My name is Dr. Ernest E. Mackins, and I have worked in the field of education for the past 15 years. For the past nine years, I have served as an Administrator in Anderson School District Two. Before working for Anderson School District Two, I was the Science Department Chair at Riverside Middle School. For six years, I taught 7th and 8t h Grade Science at Riverside Middle School in Pendleton, South Carolina. I also served as a Global Development Facilitator (GCDF) and Transition Specialist in Oconee County during the 2006-2007 school year at the Adult Education Center in Oconee County.

My educational background is extensive, as I received a double major from Clemson University in 1998, which included a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. I spent 15 years in the business world, where I served as a retail store manager for 10 years and another five years as an assistant bank manager at a local bank. I elected to continue my education when I felt a calling to the field of education. I received my Master of Arts in Middle School Teaching (MAT) in May 2007 from Clemson University. Go Tigers! I also received my Master of School Administration in August of 2011 from Furman University. In January of 2016, I completed my Educational Specialist Degree from Clemson University (Ed.S.). I just graduated from Converse University on May 20, 2021, with my Doctorate of Education in Professional Leadership. I am a US Army Veteran who served during the Desert Storm Campaign. I have been married to Erica L. Mackins for 21 years, and we have resided in Anderson for the last 31 years. We have two children, Adrian (19) and Travis (15). I am a Pleasant View Baptist Church member, which my family attends. This is why I know collaboration and cooperation are the way to move our community and our country forward without sacrificing our Christian core values!

I am an education consultant but I am also an ordained minister. I spend the majority of my time working with small church groups and making suggestions that will improve membership or grow the church. Services that I can offer is as follows:
